First Casting

In the class I recent took, I was able to ladle cast glass for the first time.

Gathering from the furnace

Pouring the glass on a graphite plate

Following the the theme of the class, the glass was cast on to a piece of copper sheet metal. It nicely shows pure copper and copper red color. The red is the result of copper ions in the glass.
